I’m 29! It was my birthday on Friday 🙂 During my EMT class this summer, I was the oldest person in my class by several years. Most of the kids were 18 or under, and they were a blast to be around. Spending time with the pediatrics, as I lovingly called them, was a lot of fun, but also gave me an opportunity to reflect on the passage of my 20’s. I wouldn’t trade anything to be 16 or 18 again. Every single year of my life, I’ve shed another pound of some heavy weight I’ve been carrying on my back all this time. In TV and movies they make it seem like your high school and college years are the most wild and free. That may be true to some extent, but I feel so much lighter and unencumbered now than I ever felt in my teens. I don’t know how to describe it, but I feel like the whole world is mine for the taking. I’m healthier now, I’m surrounded by supportive friends, I have an incredible husband, and I’m ing my dreams of working in the healthcare field. I have so much to look forward to 🙂 Cheers to 29!!!
